Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Jerbventory mobile application for iPhone and Android and to the website at jerbventory.com. The app is still in development and its behaviour may change before release; material privacy changes will be reflected here beforehand.

2. Data you put in the app

Jerbventory can contain Inventory and Collection records, acquisition costs, asking and stored market values, Show details, sales, bundles, trades, purchases, fees, expenses, payment-method totals, notes, imports, end-of-Show counts, and a history of changes. This information is stored locally on your device. Jerbventory does not require a cloud account and does not send your Inventory or Show records to Jerbventory servers.

3. Private Snap Deal photos

If you choose to attach a photo to a Quick Capture, Jerbventory uses the camera only for that action. The app removes hidden photo details, such as location and device information, and stores the image privately on your device as a memory aid. It does not upload, recognize, scan, grade, price, or match the photo. Photograph cards—not customers, IDs, or payment screens.

4. Imports, exports, and backups

Files you choose to import are processed for the requested Inventory or Collection workflow. A backup can include your Inventory, Show records, and private attachments. You choose where to save it, such as the Files app, another storage folder, or a cloud folder. Once a backup is saved with another provider, that provider’s privacy and security practices apply. Keep exported backups protected.

5. Catalog and pricing connections

Some supported catalog artwork or price updates may require an internet connection to a data provider. A request may include the card ID needed to return the selected artwork or price, along with ordinary network information such as an IP address. Jerbventory does not send your Show Ledger, private photos, costs, notes, or transaction history with those requests. Provider availability varies by category and release.

6. App analytics and tracking

The Jerbventory app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or a built-in analytics service. When the app is distributed through Apple or Google, those companies may process installation, crash, or store information under their own terms.

7. Website operations, analytics, and service providers

The website and its launch-list database run through hosting and infrastructure providers, including OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, that process information only as needed to host, secure, maintain, and measure the website for Jerbventory. Ordinary network information, such as an IP address, may be processed to deliver and protect the site.

Jerbventory uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall visits and how well pages load. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and states that it does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. The measurement tool does not use cookies or save information in your browser. It is separate from the mobile app and cannot see your Jerbventory Inventory or Show records.

8. Launch notification list and notice at collection

If you submit the website form, Jerbventory collects the email address you enter, the phone platform you select, and the date and time of the request. This information comes directly from you and is stored separately from anything in the app. It is used for one purpose: to send one message when Jerbventory is available to download.

Launch-list information is not sold, shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, used to build advertising profiles, or connected to your Inventory or Show records. It is disclosed only to service providers that operate the website and database for Jerbventory, or when disclosure is required by law.

9. Access, correction, retention, and deletion

Email jafana@jerbventory.com to ask whether your address is on the launch list or to request access, correction, or deletion. We may ask you to verify control of the address before disclosing or changing its record. We do not discriminate against anyone for making a privacy request.

Launch-list records are kept until the launch message is sent and are deleted within 60 days afterward. A record will be deleted sooner if its owner asks, unless limited retention is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or documenting that an opt-out was honored.

App records remain on the device until you edit or remove them, restore another backup, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app, subject to device and backup behavior. You control copies you export. Because the app has no Jerbventory cloud account, Jerbventory cannot retrieve or delete a workspace stored only on your device or in a storage location you selected.

10. California tracking disclosures and privacy choices

Jerbventory does not use cross-site behavioral advertising or track visitors across unrelated websites. Because the website does not perform that tracking, it does not change its behavior in response to a browser “Do Not Track” signal. A Global Privacy Control signal produces the same result: Jerbventory does not sell or share launch-list information for behavioral advertising.

Jerbventory does not knowingly allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about a visitor’s activities over time and across third-party websites through jerbventory.com. California residents may use the contact method above to ask about the information Jerbventory holds and request access, correction, or deletion, whether or not a particular privacy statute applies to the business at that time.

11. The launch email

The launch message will accurately identify Jerbventory, use a subject line that matches its contents, include a valid postal address, and provide a clear method to opt out of future commercial email. Opt-out requests will be honored within 10 business days. The launch list will not be converted into a newsletter or ongoing marketing list without a new, clear choice from the recipient.

12. Security

Jerbventory uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect launch-list information and limits access to the site owner and necessary service providers. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. If a security incident requires notice under applicable law, Jerbventory will provide it as required.

13. Children

Jerbventory is intended for card-show vendors and serious collectors who sell. It is not directed to children under 13. If Jerbventory learns that a child under 13 submitted an email address without valid parental consent, the address will be deleted and will not be used for the launch message.

14. Changes to this policy

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If a change would materially expand how previously collected personal information is used or shared, Jerbventory will provide a prominent notice before applying that change when reasonably possible and will obtain consent when applicable law requires it.
